Just got back from the range with my Shield. Second outing and another 200 plus rounds downrange. Got a great deal on a dealer demo from DVOR on a Crimson Trace Laserguard - paid $95.00 plus shipping. I've never used a laser before, but have gotten to the point where my eyes won't focus on the front sight with my glasses on - I'm nearsighted - or I can take my glasses off to see the front sight but not see the target clearly. That said, I thought I'd try a laser out. All I can say is wow! Once dialed in you can't miss with this thing. Great deal, great product, even better pistol (Shield) I really enjoy shooting, and now I can get back into shooting pistols again. :D

Crimson trace make GREAT products!! I have the lasergrip on my f/s 9mm. I wish someday they could somehow get the ct laserGRIP on the shield. One can dream

You will get no arguments from me about the utility of the CT laser grips or laser guards. I love them for many reasons, not the least of which is that I have the same vision problems mentioned.

I have found the laser guard for the Shield at TacticalGear.com for about $160 and small or free shipping. There may be cheaper places to buy, but the service and quick shipping provided by this vendor has been very excellent in my experience and their prices for CT products has been the best I've found.
