Hello Everyone,

Been lurking for a bit and thought I'd finally post a thread.

Does anyone recommend a custom grip maker that has worked with 2016 Korths? Or alternatively, grip makers who can modify existing stocks (checkering/shortening/thumb rest removal).

Korths purportedly share grip frame dimensions with Smith L frames, however because the mainspring goes diagonally through the middle, this gets in the way of typical Smith grip screws.

I've reached out to Culina and Craig Spegel - unfortunately they aren't able to or are uncomfortable without having the gun in hand . I've also contacted Curt Harlow but he is no longer taking orders.

I have Korth's Classic grips on my 3" Mongoose and they feel great...but only in my right hand (I'm wrong handed). The thumb rest digs into the underside of my knuckles.

Thanks

I actually tried reaching out to Nill and Mactec as well. Nill only offers large grips for Korths. I was interested in their compact S&W grips but it seems they do not do custom orders to fit Korths.

Hogue grips are likewise too long for what I want on this 3" gun.

I’d suggest picking up another set to alter, rather than modding the originals. But your gun, your choice! :)

Funny thing is the original grips that came with this Mongoose are $20 Hogue rubber bantams :p

All that is necessary to mount S&W K/L frame RB grips is to drill another hole in the correct location and install the grip bushings. If you put the grips on a scanner, any grip maker should be able to do the job with the print out.
