Custom Refinisher.. anyone ever use this company?

So from the lack of responses - it appears nobody has ever done business with these folks.

Let me try a different question. Has anyone ever heard of them or know anything about them? :D

The company used to be in Indian Trail, NC...just up the road a ways from me. I asked a friend of mine who lives in Matthews (not far from Indian Trail) about them...he's a shooter/collector/reloader who's pretty knowledgeable of gun stuff in the area. He said he'd never heard of them. I get the feeling it was a small shop.

If you live close enough to them now that you could drop off your gun and pick it up, why not just drive over there and check 'em out...ask to see examples of their work, etc., etc.

That's a good question. They are about an hour away and it would require me to take time off from work. Without getting into details, I did talk with someone from ECP - but didn't get a fuzzy feeling (again I won't go into details). The other issue I have - and the reason for this post - is that no one has heard of them or has done business with them. I find that strange since they claim to be around for awhile.

So I called the company around the time I posted this thread and talked with a guy whose name I can't remember. Told him what I wanted to do and I would send him pics via email along with a quote. Two emails later - no reply. Based on the lack of response (interest on their part), I would NOT DO BUSINESS WITH these folks. I ended using AP Cogan and I am sure i won't be disappointed.
 
Try Fords in Florida.. They did an amazing job on a Registered Magnum that I sent to them ( It had already been refinished once)

Their reputation is stellar.:D

Doug Turnbull is just outside of Rochester, NY. Depending on your location in PA, it could be an easy drive. You'll find volumes of info on his work!
 
Over the years, I've used Fords, Dave Chicoine, and a couple of others

Last year I had a Colt DS refinished by Accurate Plating. I thought very nice work for the price.
