It is my first time sending an item back to S&W .
They sent a E mail a little over a month ago saying they
had received my item . I have heard nothing since.
How long would you wait before contacting them for
an update?

I had a New M617 6 days, sent it in 10/31/23.. got it back 11/27/23, they did not fix a bad hitch in the trigger pull, sent it back to them again 1/2/24, hope they fix it the 2nd trip.. maybe they will fix the new guns a little faster ?

Dave, if that's a warranty repair then ok, but the next time, if you want it back in short order I'm sure you know Allegheny Arms down in Bethel Park. He's good. And a Forum member here in PGH, I'm sorry I forget his handle, maybe Series, I heard is good on S&Ws. Until then, sit back & wait; smoke 'em if ya got 'em!

Sent my 4" 29-2 for elective surgery (front sight). It went to the Performance Center because of it's age. I'm surprised they took it in at all. The CS guy said it would be 6 months for my number to be called. I'm not worried about time. I have plenty of that. Will report when I get it back.

It is under warranty. And it is a plastic item.
The shipping label was to original S&W
address. Do not have very many plastic
ones , maybe this is why.
Can’t say G word in the lounge.
