Dad's Guns

From reading your first post, it is apparent that your dad was a special person. "Dave was an engineer, a gun store owner, a gun writer, a promoter and S&W collector." Not many men can claim to hang their hat on those accomplishments, you are fortunate to be his son. BTW, those pics should be titled "How to care for your guns". As far as your display title, I don't see how you could go wrong with anything you come up with.

You left out his being a Marine Aviator during WW II. THAT is an accomplishment in itself.

Everybody likes the family connection, because guns that their dads had mean the most to them, too. I have my dad's guns, my uncle's guns, my grandpa's guns and a gun my great-grandpa had. One of my most cherished guns is a 922 H&R revolver my grandpa bought new in 1950 when he was 55 years old. My own kids have no interest in firearms so I guess I will be selling them, although it really hurts to do that. Guns have been a huge part of my life. When you get old you realize that things which mean the world to you are seen as simply $ to most others.
