Dairyland Insurance

Thanks for the reply. I called Dairyland and asked why the huge increase in premium. I've had no tickets or claims. The lady couldn't explain why, but she did find me a veterans discount. Still, the premium went from $411.50 to over $513.50. Does cover 3 motorcycles,
but still a substantial increase.

The ways of insurance companies are mysterious indeed. The only reason I have State Farm for my house and car is that they have good rates on my three bikes.

I'm paying $380 (full Coverage 50/100/50) for just one Harley Dyna, with Progressive.

When I was a Insurance Underwriter up North in WI (the insurance capital of the Country)for a Premium Company

Dairyland was considered a non standard company or High Risk. People that did not qualify for our company due to driving records were often referred to Dairyland by the agents

Not saying anything about anyone's record here, just the way it was many years ago. Dairyland is a sub company of I believe Sentry? Can't remember exactly.

No motorcycles, but we have USAA for our cars and home. My only real complaint is that they constantly try to up-sell you on new things all of the time. They are an industry leader, and very reputable. I've talked with some lawyers, and they tell me that USAA is one of the few reputable insurance carriers out there.

Good luck,

Dave

Since Insurance is what I do for the past 25 years, and my agency is appointed with Dairyland, let me give you all a bit of advice from an Insurance Agents point of view. Dump Dairyland and go to Progressive or Foremost! Foremost is part of Farmers Insurance but is a separate company. Foremost is the group carrier for the "Harley Owners Group", H.O.G. This is not non-standard!

Progressive is both a non-standard and Preferred company, depending on your record. Progressive is often the least expensive of these three companies.

Personally I will not write any business with Dairyland, we have better companies!

Do what you want.
