A guy I know has a Dan Wesson 15-2. He's the original owner. Its in mint condition with the original briefcase style case, the three additional barrels still in the velvet sleeves never been put on, all the accessories including the belt buckle and patch, all in excellent condition that he'll sell me for $800. Should I go buy it? What's it worth?

Here in the Central Texas area, the minimum for a package as you describe would be at least $1,200.00. I've wanted a Dan Wesson for many years, but could never find an affordable one. In my opinion, he's making you a great "friend" price, and if I had the opportunity, I'd already be counting the money into his hands before he changes his mind.

Good luck,

Dave

Oh I already offered the money. I just have to wait for him to accept it. I gave him asking price with no questions asked.....but there's some additional value there I'm waiting on him to get over.

DW

I'd jump all over that. I've been patiently waiting to find a complete DW Pistol PacK for several years. Good luck!

Same here:) I'm about ready to dish out $1500 for a nice Model 15 3 barrel kit and feel it's a fair price. I'd be all over that at $800 like a pit-bull on a poodle:D

I've collected Dn Wessons for years. The recent prices for complete 15-2 pistol packs has been climbing. Last weekend gun show in Fort Worth, there were 2 somewhat complete. One was prices at 1800, the other at 2100.

I just saw a pack like that at a gun show for $995. I was going to go back for it if I didn't find something I wanted more, but by the time I left, I forgot about it. It's not something I'd really use, but I considered it a bargain.

You can check danwessonforum.com but I think you will find a pistol pak in the condition you describe to be at least $1500 and probably more with most of the barrels being unfired. They are great guns to shoot.

Let's see...conservative pricing would be: $500 gun, (3) x $150 bbl assy's, $150 case + accesories, + addt'l premium for mint condition... yup, thats a good deal.

It was 10yrs ago; but, I remember one gun show I passed by one pistol pack with an asking of $650, and bought another for $550... uhmmm, hindsight.

I'd be curious as to what was offered and what barrel lengths were included in that kit. Two years ago I picked up a Dan Wesson mod. 14 that came with a 2.5" "pork chop" barrel shroud and finding other barrels has been a real treasure hunt. Some of them (depending on condition) are going for as much as I paid for the gun.
