Dating a 65-3

I may acquire a 65-3 with a SN in the 7D776XX range.

Thinking it is an '83 gun but not sure. Any insight would be appreciated.

1981 according to SCSW. And I agree with your dating practices. Since my wife left me ten years ago I date only double-action revolvers. Preferably stainless. They make few demands, do not talk incessantly, are absolutely reliable, easy to care for, do not spend money, and do not complain if you bring home another.

It's always considerate to open her cylinder on the first date; a dab of Hoppes will insure a smooth start.

My daily carry is a three inch M67-3. Definately my favorite. The grips cover the RB serial number, so don't know the age.
