I have 2 third gen 45 autos,a 4506 no dash and a 4506-1.I must get rid of one of them [reason not important].The 4506 has adj sights and the 4506-1 does not.Witch would be the better keeper?What about just switching top ends and keep the 4506-1 with the adj sight from the 4506.

sounds like you want adj sights but the with the rounded dash 1 trigger guard.

what if accuracy potential does meet from the original set up if you switch.

find a 4506-1 with adj sights and sell the other two would be my guess.

Swapping slides can create issues with accuracy and worse yet reliability. It may work out just fine, but it may not. If you do decide to make the swap make sure you function test it dry and at the range. If you are happy with the new set up then keep the 4506 upper and the 4506-1 lower. Otherwise I would keep the 4506-1. Just my $0.02.
