I recently picked up a 3" 65-3 out of a sense of nostalgia. A 3" model 65 was my first issued firearm and I've always missed it.
So, anyway, I'm saving my pennies to get the gun tweaked a bit and had a question or two:
I've settled on having it bead blasted to a mattte finish which will make my Spegel grips look even better. I'm on the fence about having TK Custom do a moon clip conversion on it. The trigger is perfect as it is so no need for a trigger job.
What I am sure of is that I need to have a tritium night sight somehow installed in the front if I am going to carry it as an off-duty gun. My current employer's general orders specify this.
Can the members here recommend someone that can/will remove the existing front sight and machine a dovetail for a night sight while mantaining the correct height? If not, can you suggest an alternative solution?
