Perhaps someone here can tell me if these later label numbers translate to build dates for a 686 and 638 I recently bought in the past year.
The 686-6 3" shows a 011023 number
and the
638-3 show a 081922 number.
I'm guessing those are the actual month, day, & year in a 2-digit date format, and the old "special order" "julian-date/year" method is discontinued, yes/no?
