If you overtake the last person you could be anywhere from first to next to last.
That's called lapping in circle track racing.
 
I saw this last night and read the items and either I am just plan dumb or just dont have any smarts at all. I dont really know but I only got one right. The others I failed at really bad. Just a note so that it go's to show you that if you think you are a really smart person then sometimes you aint.

Guess I have dementia, as I did not notice the distinction between circle and I guess oval??:D

Maybe the race was a straight line??;)

Circle Oval=Go fast turn left.

Straight line=Drag racing.One can't overtake the last in that case.But that's already been determined.

Lets leave the cars out of it and consider Track and field.Pretty much the same outcome.Sprinter=Straight line with the exception of the 440 witch is only one lap.Runners have laps but I doubt you would ever see anybody getting lapped.

Lets leave track and field out of it also. I ran 220's in high school. I feel really, really old now.;)
At least I still have long term memory.
