Through Feb 2, the Denver Art Museum has an exhibition of the works of Claude Monet. There are about 120 paintings on display. Just a stunning collection to have all in one place. I would make every effort to get to the show. You have to buy a timed ticket, so go online to the Museum website and get your tickets.

I'd love to see that, really. Monet's paintings usually have a calming effect on the viewer, or on me at any rate. If I look at works by that other giant of Impressionism, Van Gogh, a lot of his paintings look a bit frenetic (for lack of a better word) to me. Or as if his visual world was a bit off-center...which in reality, I suppose it was. He really wasn't quite sane.

Anyway...Monet. I wonder if the gallery is offering a catalog. Do you know? Will you attend the exhibition?

I always get Monet and Manet confused. Reading about the Denver Monet exhibition, I looked this up: Monet and Manet? Is the Difference More than Just O and A? — Steemit (Takeaway rule of thumb is Monet is spots, Manet is people.)

Early this year I was in Florida, and visited the Six Mile Cypress Slough Reserve. I took this picture, which reminds me of a Monet painting:
