Broncos Giving Helmets to State's High School Teams

The NFL has a concussion protocol for players. The Denver Broncos may have started a related protocol on philanthropy.
The team is donating high-tech helmets to every high school
team in Colorado, reports KDVR.
That amounts to more than 15,000 helmets, each of which is worth about $1,000, per the Denver Post.
The "Axiom" helmets made by Riddell will be fitted for each player with a 3D scan, and they include sensors to allow coaches to keep track of impacts.

Bekeart

15,000 helmets at $1,000 = 15 MILLION DOLLARS

Less than cost of a Quarterback.

Hope team get a quantity discount.

Will team do it again next year for new players?

After a couple of hard concussions playing high-school football in the '60s, I gave up the sport. All the money in the world is not worth early senility.

We had a high school er die two years ago. Hard hit to the head. Carted off the field by ambulance. Went into a coma and died 4 days later. Football has it's risks.

Classy move by the Bronco's

In 1966 in 7th grade I needed a size 8 helmet somebody from the school, got in touch with the Lions. I ended up with a new helmet from the Lions. Do not know if school paid for it or if it was donated.
