Denver Gunshops...As Well As Those Enroute From Albuquerque?

Been years since I was stationed in Denver, at Lowry Airplane Patch.

But I shopped at Gart Bros. and Dave Cook, the latter of which often had some nice trout on display, on ice.

THey may still be there. Someone else will post more current data, but that may be a start.

Gart Bros and Dave Cooks are long gone. Green Mt Guns in Lakwood is one of the best, or The Firing Line in Aurora but they are perty proud of their stuff. Good luck and have a safe trip.

There aren't a lot of great handgunshops in the Denver area, but in addition to the two mentioned above, you may want to look at the
The Gun Room also in lakewood.

+1 on Gun Room and Green Mtn. Both have great stock, and both get the best in consignments, too. Always something nice in the cases at both shops.

If you are coming up I-25 try Specialty Sports in Colorado Springs. It is on the corner of Fountain and Murrey off of South Academy. It advertises that it is the largest gun store in Colorado. They have just about anything you could want, but a bit pricey. Travel safe, keep shootin'

Lowery Airplane Patch isn't there anymore either.

Hi Erich, I've been meanin' to go to the shop in DeVargas Mall,I have a friend who keeps telling me to go.

To all, thanks for the replys and well wishes.

I hope to make the shops in the Denver area.

Hope you have a good trip!

The Outdoorsman is near my SF office so drop me a note if you plan going up there. I'm not up there much anymore, but who knows? :) We could look at guns and grab lunch or something.

I have been in all of the above-mentioned Colorado stores. 8 times out of 10, I have been well treated. 2 times out of 10, things just didn't pass the smell test.
Just about like anywhere else.
They do have very nice selections.

Thanks Erich, we might have to get together some day.

Today I called the Outdoorsman looking for a Colt 3rd SAA. They didn't have any. As a matter of fact I called a lot of gunshops all over NM and no one had any. Ron Petersons' had some but not my desired finish or caliber.
