I do got the 10 mm love baby! And I love 1911s! Not since the long lost Delta Elite have I been so happy! If 10mm pistols are good enough for Sonny Crocket well by gosh its good enough for me I reckon  Go get you one. Go on get now ya hear! Before they are all dried up and gone bye bye.

I do love the HAND CANNON! So here we have another one of those illustrious hand cannons! The 10 mm auto. I do love the 44 magnum however good luck tryin to get your little booger pickers on one of those new Colt Anacondas right now unless you want to put down a house mortgage payment for one... Also I havent seen any new Ruger 44 mags around lately for some strange goofy reason. Redhawks where are you? Whats up wit dat Ruger?? Eh whatever... I can launch a whole mag worth of 10mm auto down range accurately and quickly on target faster than you can say, "Sonny Crocket you are my most favorite TV land hero!" Meanwhile Mr. Hand Pain 44 carpal tunnel special is still takin its time revolving till the cows come home! Anyways here is the specifications on the new Desert Eagle 10 mm:

I do really like the 5 inch bull barrel on the 1911. I havent seen that since the ole Detonics ScoreMaster of the 80s! I like it a lot! Did I mention the Israelis make a fine handgun yet? This gun is manufactured by Bul LTD. They are famous for there superbly built 1911s. From what I see the work on these Magnum Research guns look better to me than any of my Colt made 1911s. Im not the type to BS so just my honest opinion! Maybe its a good thing Colt is taken over by CZ. You know CZ!!! A company that can actually make good quality instead of over priced over hyped junk. More to come with this little 10mm jewel!

I'd love a 10mm, but I have 0 ammo and the prospects of building a stockpile are pretty poor.

Eh... like everything that bull honky ammo shortage will end. All the weirdos will stop goin bonkers for coco puffs buying ammo because they watched to much Walking Dead and it will eventually normalize again. Like always just sit tight!

I guess all this .357M, .44M, .45ACP, .40S&W, and .357SIG will have to keep me happy.

I also want a 9x25 Dillon (probably a spare barrel with the 10mm) but that's also a tough deal right now.

The 10mm 1911 has recently got my attention; or should I say the magazine article(s) about the Kimber Black Ice Rapide (or something like that.) About $1700. I believe S&W manufacture some, among other firearm makers. I have heard that CZ make an excellent product. So, I'm asking you, dandyrandy, are the prices vs. actual quality along the same lines as some of the other manufacturers? (I don't know, so I ask!) Not long ago was the article/assessment of the 10mm in American Rifleman, I asked about it on Forum and was kinda informed, respectably, that there are other manufacturers out there, like S&W, etc. I don't hunt anymore or hike in grizzly country, I don't shoot for scores vs other people, I would just like a nice quality 1911, but not enough to spend too much over $2G. I've been interested in the 10mm, like I said, so could you give me an idea of what $$$ I'm looking at? I want a keeper, not like the $400 ATI I gave to my son. Which, by the way, was a darn good shooter at the range and never gave me any clicks instead of bangs. I'm having a hard time trying to explain what I want, but your post gave me reason to ask you. Thanks a lot for any advice, or anybody else who can help me decide what to shoot for. Jeff T., PGH
10mm or .40 calibers

Ive seen them go for between $700 to $1200 however they dont seem to stay in stock very long. The Magnum Research 1911s are about priced the same as the Ruger, Colts, and SA 1911s. About the same category however the build quality looks a little better on the MR than compared to the others mentioned.

I once owned a custom Desert Eagle in 44 mag. That pistol is definitely a hand full! I sold it tho to a happy new owner!

I repeatedly considered getting a 10mm 1911 of some fashion, but prices on them were absurdly expensive and full-power ammo was only available from boutique loaders. I considered alternatives, but there were none that I really liked.

Eventually I discovered the H&K USP45 Elite, which is capable of shooting both .45 ACP and .45 Super sans modifications, so that's ultimately what I chose to scratch my itch for a powerful semiautomatic pistol.

.45 Super is roughly equivalent to 10mm Auto in terms of ballistics performance when comparing similar loads, but the bullets are obviously larger in diameter, (which is a plus for me) and thus the operational pressure is substantially lower at 28,000psi.

The USP45 Elite is a massive gun of extremely robust design, plus it has some serious style, with an appearance which blends the aesthetics of early 1900s pistol designs with the ruggedness and reliability of more modern designs.

Sorry to crash this 10mm party with a .45, but I don't get many opportunities to talk about it otherwise, and .45 Super is basically the 11mm equivalent of 10mm Auto.

Jeff- the Springfield Ronin in 10mmlooks like a nice gun but are apparently unobtanium right now (like a lot of guns). I have an RIA in 10mm that is a nice gun and didn't break the bank when I bought it. The 10 is a great round IMHO.

"SHIPPING WEIGHT: 4.8 lbs."

Really? That's one heavy pistol.

I don't have a 10mm but that's one of the very few calibers I have actually seen in stores. Couldn't tell you how much because I didn't look since I wasn't in the market for it.

The 10mm is a very serious caliber!

It's the new straight blowback 10mm.

Some of these Magnum Research pistols ship with extra added accessories in a bigger box. I have one that came with a large Magnum Research knife with extra grips magazines and a nice good quality heavy made sheath. Something the other manufactures sadly dont do much any more. Your lucky to just get two magazines now a days with your purchase.

Handloader are boutique loaders
