Has anyone done a detailed strip? A search of youtube turned up nothing. Manual says: "CAUTION: Never disassemble your firearm beyond the instructions in the Field Stripping and Inspection sections of this manual." I have nothing but good things to say about the gun, but I sure would like to take it apart and see all the pieces. Merv

Careful what you "wish for". If you can't get it all back together,it will cost you if you have to take it to a Smith.

It was always hard not to giggle when some one would bring in a box of parts to the LGS/Range and ask for help getting "it" (take your pick),put back together.

That's why I'm waiting for someone else to go first and put it up on youtube.

I have had mine down pretty far. I have removed the sear block and trigger assembly, I have had the striker out and the extractor out too. The Sheild requires a few more tools to strip and compared to a Glock, the Shield seems a bit more complicated.

Its not too hard, look on youtube for Apex Tactical trigger install vids for the M&P series to see the dis-assembley procedures.
