Diamond D Alaska Hunter Hip Holster

Anyone have any experience with Diamond D Leather Alaska Hunter Hip Holster? Not the chest holster. I'm curious as to whether the button for the strap being on the cylinder has the potential to scratch the gun. Many hip holsters with straps tend to have the button located somewhere more on the side instead of directly on the cylinder.

You are wise to be concerned about the strap buttons inside and out scratching your pistol.

I bought a custom holster and the maker put the button where it rubs against my cylinder when I insert and draw the pistol.

And yes, it will scratch it.

I have a Diamond D hip holster for 4.2 inch L Frame, Model 69, and NO the inside snap is not exposed It is covered.

I recently ordered the Diamond D shoulder rig. It has an overlap of fabric over the snap on the inside of the holster. I had not thought about this issue. Glad you brought it up. Thanks.
