291 is just part of serial number. Probably 1960's. A nice desirable pair.

It is the whole serial number; 291631. Came off of a K frame from 1957. Possible from a pre model build.

Appears to be a K frame Sq Butt M&P. Sn. C291631. Post 1946,
The ship date guys will be by shortly. Nice looking grips.

If a K-prefix (target sight) serial number, it would likely be 1957.
If a C-prefix (fixed sight) serial number, it would likely be 1954.
