Lifelong Smith fan here. Snagged one of the new Diamondback SDR high polish models. Will post pics when I can. Put 120 rounds thru it.
There is no comparison between the SDR and new Smiths. The fit, finish and polish job on the SDR are literally custom shop good.
The trigger is smooth and light and the firing pin mark on the primers is the entire circumference and really pronounced. Left the hogue bantams on it which feel great.
The sights are hi Viz 3 dot and really nice. It's light but feels solid. I love the LCR cylinder like configuration.
100 rounds of WWB 130 FMJ and 20 HST's-perfect to point of aim.
With 6 shots, If they can produce these in numbers and the quality stays steady like this one these will be absolute home runs for $750. If you like Snubbies grab one of these if you see one.

What is an SDR and an LCR?

LCR is a Ruger revolver. Less-than-stellar trigger & accuracy.

The SDR is a snubbie by Diamondback Firearms.

Handled my first one at a fun-show today. I was quite smitten.

The wheel rotates CCW, like our Smiths. Trigger action felt every bit as smooth as a good K/L frame. My swag was that it was likely under 10lbs. I was able to easily stage the trigger onto each chamber. The hammer was nicely dehorned, all-around. Sights were impressive. The only thing I did not care for was that high-polish finish. :D

The sole example seen was tagged at $799...soooo, not yet.

Sorry for late reply to this thread. Just read it .
I bought a Diamondback SDR revolver from my LGS in November. It is a J frame size revolver with 6 round capacity, just over 21 ounces weight, 2 inch snubby. I have the Black Nitride finish which I like . Pretty nice trigger , SA trigger pull 4LBS 15 ozs , DA 9Lbs 14Ozs.
I have been carrying it a lot lately.
Wanted to to post a picture but couldn’t see a way to get to my pictures .(?) I’m sure I used to post pictures on our S&W forum.
