Diamondback SDR

I'm glad to see more manufacturers jumping into the revolver scene. The quick-change yoke/crane and cylinder assembly is pretty sweet and would make cleaning a breeze. I have to say that I'm not a fan of the looks though. The K6s is much prettier, given its similar non-traditional appearance.

Wishing them the best with the revolvers.

Did the gent in the video have his weak hand's
index finger too close to the cylinder gap?
He did not shoot it... will mention that when I call
them soon.
Hope they make a 22LR eight shot snub.

No long comments about their DB380.
Was a gift that keeps on not giving. :D

Well this is interesting. Apparently there's full compatibility with existing J-frame grips, and some holsters. That's a great move in this space.

I was saying just last year, give me a 6 shot j frame with a Ruger style push cylinder release. They just added some decent sight options to it.

be curious to see how it does.

If they’ll bob the hammer or conceal it, I’d be about perfect. I’ve never owned a Diamondback or read much about them. I know they make semiautomatic pistols that’s all. Any one here own one?

Hmmm . . . .355 bullets in a .357 barrel may not be very accurate.

But it would be fun to try!

C. E. Harris tested 9 mm bullets in .38 Special revolvers in the October, 1981 American Handgunner magazine with good accuracy results. YMMV, as they say, but it's been done.

The best groups were under two inches at 25 yards - better than the .38 control load. However, the worst were just under 8 inches!!

I'd guess others have written about that, but that's the article I've saved.

.357 in J frame. I don't even like .38 +P in my 642.

Then shoot 38 +p in it. More robust revolver, a little more weight without being heavy, and handles 38 +p better. That's the beauty of a 21-24 once 357 snub over a 14.5oz snub.

Interesting
I wonder if Colt D frame holsters will work. It looks will made. I have a DB 9mm AR pistol; the fit, finish and function meet or exceed my expectations.

They say they will fit in J Frame holsters. Not sure if it will work in a molded leather holster though. Grips are supposed to be interchangeable as well

I have a few molded leather K-frame holsters that my 686 L frames fit just fine. Mater of fact, I only buy K-frame leather holsters as they're easily find than L-frame. Next, my Ruger LCR, Taurus 85, S&W M60, and Kimber K6s will all fit the same IWB and OWB leather holsters. All that leads me to believe that the new SDR should also work with a J-frame holster.
