I was looking for some bullet casting stuff I remembered having,,
and, what should I find,, but, some VERY unique gun lube..

I used to go to manufacturing trade shows back in the early 1990's, and earlier,
I would bet that is where it came from.

Research shows BRAYCO had some ties to CASTROL,,

The bottle says "Shake Well"
I would bet the lube has Teflon,,,

What would "LSA" stand for, anyways??

Has anyone ever seen this before??

LSA = Lubricant, Small Arms. It's military, but I can't remember if it was a specific lube or a category of lube. I think it's a type of CLP.

I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will chime in.

Not sure but they do still sell it on Amazon although the bottle is different. It sounds like the military uses it also. I found this using Google. "LSA is a petroleum-based lubricant mixed with a combination detergent, oxidation inhibitor, and corrosion inhibitors. It's still used by gun owners, and it can most easily be found in surplus stores. As an acronym, LSA apparently has two different definitions."

It was the standard lube in the 60s for the M-16.
The pamphlet is dated 1969. ;)

That stuff worked well on our M60’s but you really have to give it a good shaking.
