I seem to be in a musical mood today, and Dido Armstrong is among my favorite songstresses. Here, she proves it, in case you've never heard her.

Pay attention to, "Life For Rent", in which she makes a good point about how you get out of life what you invest in it.

Yeah, been listening to her in the car all day. She's pretty easy on the eyes, too.

Interesting comment she had about White Flag causing her "A whole heap of trouble in her life." I wonder what that was all about? Perhaps she was referring to Eminem using the song?

She sure can sing. In the clip TS posted, her voice reminds me a lot of the lead singer for the Cranberries.

I have one Cranberries tape. The one with, "Linger." I'll try to find it and check for that. I think I do detect some similarity.

"White Flag" was supposedly about her breakup with some guy I never heard of. His name is in the viewer comments under the video in my link. But if Eminem stole it, that may also have been an issue. Nevertherless, "White Flag" is probably her best known song in the USA. My daughter likes it because in the original video, the guy who played Angel is in it. David Boreanz (sp?).

Here's her own site. Scroll down a little, and you can play some of the songs from her latest CD, "Safe Trip Home." Look right under the big center photo of her.

I especially like, "Grafton Street "and "Don't Believe in Love."

She was happy to let Eminem use her music, but I am confusing "White Flag" with "Thank You" which he sampled for his song "Stan". She also was in his video for that song. She played the girlfriend.
