An Italian Beretta with two barrels no. to the gun. If I'm not mistaken, these pistols (22 cal.) were used by certain agencies (Israel) to assassinate people? *****OCD1 found some interesting facts about how some of these pistols were used and I think assassination was mentioned. Used with a silencer it makes no noise. Thanks!

Interesting pistol but I don't think I'd pay extra for that story. The two barrels were probably an attempt to attract sales in the 50's. Does yours have the aluminum frame? A quick net search kinda surprised me on what those are going for.

J. B. Wood has a chapter on the M948 and M949 pistols in his book, Beretta Automatic Pistols. He notes that your model, which Beretta called Modello 948 bis a due canne (with two barrels), was introduced after the original 948. The original model had its front sight integral with the slide, while the later model had its sight on the barrel (and the slide bridge slotted to allow disassembly).
