Digital Camo paint job. Two tone

going to bump this for the new(er) members that are thinking digital paint job.

Thanks. I sold this rifle last month because I didnt have a job and needed money. 1 day later I got a job offer (my present workplace)..sucks..but I want to own another one. I miss my 15-22 very much.

Plan on painting savage mark II eventually in digi camo.

Your layers look a little thick? But otherwise a fantastic job. Are you going to hit it with a matte layer?

What also works good is heating the rifle before painting, ether with the oven or just leaving it out in the sun for a while.

Layer were not thick at all. Yes rifle had matte clear coat on it

OK, just asking. The base coat on the lower seemed to be rather shiny. And a light coat shouldn't take all day to dry.

the pics of matte always look shinier than they are for some reason (old gun painter here). Nice job.
I like painting my guns in the summer her in Hades (most southwest part of AZ there is) and then put the parts in my truck hanging from my hunting clothes pole.
gets about 130 degrees in the truck with the windows up. I'm of the school that waits 5-6 days for the paint to cure, i'm usually in no rush.

good job on the digi!

Good job I did the samething with those sticky mailing labels. Since the army is getting rid of acu pattern I went ahead and just went with a completely random schemeImageUploadedByTapatalk1370826709.269063.jpg this was part of the process but know I have this ImageUploadedByTapatalk1370826796.667060.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1370826818.489552.jpg sorry to hijack your thread but your digital pattern came out much better than mine.

The krylon sand color always looks glossy but I notice the other krylon camp colors dry nice and dull.
