The deck just has a fine looking green "Patina". Just like the long guns.
And you would'nt go scrubbing on them would ya' ? Question answered.

Did my deck again last year. Oxyclean and hot water, commercial floor buffer with a stiff bristle brush, hand scrub the railing, Behr Premium clear weatherproofing... took three days, 'bout killed me. Go shooting! :p

The deck looks good. Here's another way to clean a deck that's a little less "labor intensive."

Put together a strong solution of TSP. Scrub the deck with it using a brush on a handle so your'e not down on your hands and knees - important point for we "senior citizens" :D

Rinse it off before the crud dries up.

Get some oxalic acid crystals (Ace hardware, etc.) and mix up a solution per the instructions. Mop it onto the deck and let it sit for awhile. Repeat if necessary to get the degree of "lightening" you're looking for. Rinse well and your'e DONE!

I've been doing this for decades with great results.

Bushmaster1313, me advocating??, go shoot first just to get that chore done and then do the deck. See I don't have a deck so go shooting. Simple yes??. Frank

That's the problem with having too much stuff. Simplify. Imagine you don't have a deck and then the answer will appear very clear to you.

I think that's Tao or Yoda or someone like that. Maybe it's a Danism.

Go shooting --- You can wash the deck at night.

But
Don't wash the deck like my brother!
He uses a power washer.
You MUST wear shoes on his deck now.

Your wife is too busy with other housework to take care of the deck? How about the kids?
