I'm fairly up on music, and I knew who Guy Clark was and a lot of his work. It just so happened I haven't given hom a lot of thought in a while, and I happen to have never heard the song "Randall Knife" until yesterday. It struck a nerve, and I have discovered what a truly amazing songwriter he really is.

You forgot Jerry Jeff Walker, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Ray Wiley Hubbard, Gary P. Nunn, David Allen Coe, and Billy Joe Shaver. Plus there are the younger guys, like Kevin Fowler, Pat Green, Ely Young Band, Jason Boland, Jack Ingram, Gary Allan, James McMurtry, and Cross Canadian Ragweed. I hope my MP3 player is charged up. I'm going to have to do some listening tonight.
