After I got my buck this year, I went around looking at the antler "kits" that are out there. I decided that most were ugly and some that are downright hideous. So I went out, bought a wooden plaque and did it myself. Most antler kits seem to use electrical or zip ties to hold everything in place. I did not cut off as much of the skull cap as you would with a kit so I had more surface area. It is held to the wood with a combination of adhesive and those ties. The green cloth is some that I had left over from when I made a set of shooting sticks. I then woodburned in the date that I got the deer. I have yet to stain it, but to me it looks alot better than those everyday kits from Walmart.
