After I got my buck this year, I went around looking at the antler "kits" that are out there. I decided that most were ugly and some that are downright hideous. So I went out, bought a wooden plaque and did it myself. Most antler kits seem to use electrical or zip ties to hold everything in place. I did not cut off as much of the skull cap as you would with a kit so I had more surface area. It is held to the wood with a combination of adhesive and those ties. The green cloth is some that I had left over from when I made a set of shooting sticks. I then woodburned in the date that I got the deer. I have yet to stain it, but to me it looks alot better than those everyday kits from Walmart.

As Bill Envall's wife would say, """OH MY GOODNESS...you killed Bambi's daddy!!!"

that looks really nice, i have to agree it looks a lot better than most of the kits out there.
