In most or 90% + of the time I am good; recall what I paid, et cetera on various items, maintenance, what have you.

I stumbled across a humidor recently that I just plain forgot I owned--perhaps because there were no good cigars in it (?).

I am a younger to middle-age man. Genuinely surprised when I found this mid-century modern cigar humidor and being honest, don't recall what I paid, but other details familiar with.:o

If I am blessed to have many more years on this earth, I believe this will increase over time.:D

Found a bolt action 12g my dad gave me way back in 1975. Never been much of a shotgun type so I clearly forgot all about it until I ran across it when I was inventorying my junk for sale.

Yea, saw one at a pawn shop, thought I had one like it but had not seen in in years, Thought the two of them would be fun times. Bought it, took it home and sure enough it was mine! Checked my serial numbers and it was, went back to the pawn shop, he call the police and now they have it - still looking for the hired hand that borrowed it!!! At least now I know where it is.

We have no kids and live in a decent sized house. So, yes there are things I don't know I have and won't know till after I retire and get a chance to go through all of the spare bedrooms. closets, garage, basement and attic that we have spent 30 years stuffing to the gills.

Being retired, I doubt you'll find all the stuff. Whoever cleans up after you're gone to the big range in the sky will find it.

More like "where is it" ...... home?...... Cabin?....... or at the Lake?

some stuff I have 2 of .....like a chainsaw..... cus it was always in the wrong place when I need it.

I find myself driving one of my many vintage cars and being VERY happy that I remembered that I have this one. I tell myself that I REALLY need to remember that I have this really cool car so that I will drive it more often. I wonder why I keep forgetting that I have it ? ..... Then I wake up :(

When complaining to some friends about more repairs needed to keep my only two vehicles running, one said "Maybe you should buy a car or truck made in THIS century" ...... :) :(

I think after a while we just quit paying attention like we once did.

I have searched for things that I either wore out and threw away or gave away because I so rarely used it. Usually if I relax about misplacing the item it will come to me.

I do have a few items that I honestly have no idea how I ended up with.

Holsters and shop tools are the most common things I wander about wondering about.
