This is my reproduction matchlock musket. I recently purchased it from Dixie Gun Works and it is made by Brixia firearms in Italy.
It’s been an absolute joy. There’s nothing like plunging a smoldering match down upon your pan and the whole affair erupting with a thunderous explosion and a huge cloud of smoke and fire.
It’s a visceral and thrilling shooting experience for sure. I enjoy these old black powder weapons immensely.
