Do you have one gun, (more than the others!) that you wonder why you bought it?

I bought a Glock G17, and liked it so much, that I bought a Glock G34,,

I (now) wonder why I EVER bought that gun,, (the G34)
I have had the gun way over a decade, and it only comes out when some novice wants to shoot a Glock,,
That has been about 6 outings,, total,,

Other than that,, WHY in the world did I buy a G34?
I think I have a shotgun that is as easy to maneuver for home defense, the G34 barrel is so long,,
Target shoot? The G34 can not outshoot my G17,,

So, do you have a "Wonder Why I Bought It?" gun??

I bought a CZ-70 on impulse because they were cheap and I didn’t have a .32.

I’m wondering now how I could have better spent that money.

Over the years, I've bought several guns that I wasn't really looking for, but which were deals too good to pass up.

One was my Beretta 950BS. It came complete with an inside-pocket holster, several spare mags, and several boxes of ammunition, and was priced at $100 from a nearby dealer. I've fired it once or twice over the years.

The other was my S&W Model 640 Pro, which I bought recently from a Forum member. I had no thought of buying it until I saw it for sale. Haven't fired it yet -- due to the pandemic -- but looking forward to doing so.

Yes a Mossberg 500, 12ga
It had a tactical stock, the forward grip had a strap.

That thing kicked like a mule.
I sold it.
My next one I’ll try on “impulse” , will be a heavier wood buttstock and foregrip.
Seems more forgiving.

I always wonder why I buy any gun, I can only shoot one at a time. But I take more then one gun to the range; makes for a better day at the range and which means time spent reloading.

LOL, I have a bunch of guns like that. Here's a couple.

Zastava M70 in 32 ACP. From the pictures I thought it was a small pocket pistol. It's huge and weighs like it is carved from neutron star material. Shoots good.

Turk 8mm short rifle built from a Mauser 1907 carbine. Bought it at an auction because nobody else bid on it.

For the most part I've always bought a gun for a specific purpose but have purchased some just because I liked the design alone even though they are not good for SD, HD, or target shooting.

I've owned several that fall into this category.

Somehow they seemed like such a good idea at the time.

How about a S&W 500mag.
I kept it till next gun show.
Shot it about 50 shots did
Not impress me Big Heavy
Not something you drop in
holster and take a walk and
I do not have a horse.

Thompson Center .22 Classic

I was just coming off a Remington Viper .22 and a Ruger 10/22 both of which refused to run with any consistency. Purchasing the T/C I had just gotten married and moved into a new home. Well during the move the T/C still unfired got placed into a storage knee wall and forgotten about. Retired and started moving South in Spring of 2015. T/C was rediscovered during packing only to be packed again and so on 3, moves/states later it still hasn't been fired. What changed "the wonder why", part of this thread, my shooting habits changed and I went to bolt action rimfire without any problems. I friend talked me into purchasing a Winchester 52 (Miroku) in the mid 90's and that rifle has never missed. As a kid growing up on a Marlin-60 shooting a brick of .22's in a weekend was common. Not knowing anything different kept me in a cycle with semi-auto rimfire rifles until i discovered what a good bolt rimfire rifle could do for me. I wonder why I keep moving this T/C with me.

Several cowboy guns and I don't even own a pair of boots. I did eat at a Roy Rogers once!

Yup. This 8” bumper-chromed weird-gripped Dan Wesson .357 with a re-stamped serial number. I still don’t know why, other than it was cheap.
