"One wildlife enthusiast caught quite a show in the forest.

Tom McClelland recently set up a trail camera in a wooded area in Johnson, Ontario. To his surprise, the camera captured footage of a large black bear busting some rather unexpected moves, according to Storyful...

Just one of the reasons I have never been a very successful bear hunter, although not totally unsuccessful. I will rephrase that with one of the reasons I have never truly appreciated killing brother bear is that they are such an interesting critter and amazingly entertaining to watch in the wild. I nearly killed a large bear from across a narrow canyon, I heard him grunting and approached a clearing giving me visual access to him digging into the opposite side of a steep canyon, probably 100 yards across at most. He was digging a hole into the hillside, he would dig and throw great clods of dirt behind him, then sniff where he was digging, go back to removing earth until it looked like he had a hole three feet wide by maybe as many deep. I was intrigued and sat down to watch, finally...after maybe just five minutes of my watching he dug out the ground squirrel he was after, there was a very short scurry with dead squirrel as result. By this time I was watching through my binocoes. He ate that ground squirrel with such relish, you just had to know he was worth every bit of effort bro bear put into it. I gave him a pass...Did I say I like bears.
