Hi all,
I posted here relatively recently about the Model 27-2 I stumbled upon at my local gun shop when I was buying some ammo, and the gun seemed to be in great condition for only $930, so I jumped on it. I'm still learning about these old Smiths as the only other Smith revolver I have is a Pro Series 60-15 (which I like a lot).
I've read how some prelock Smiths from the 1970s-1980s or so came with "the three T's", target hammer, sights, and trigger. However I haven't found a photo of a Model 27 with these three features, and the shop where I bought this gun put their shop sticker over the original S&W sticker and I'm unsure based on the box alone. Does this particular 27-2 have the three T's? I took it to the range shortly after picking it up and put about 100 rounds of 38spl and 50 rounds of 357 through it, and it shot phenomenally. I will probably try to minimize how much I bring it out to the range just to preserve the condition it is in, but it's certainly a keeper. Any assistance is appreciated, thank you!
