does S&W make a derringer? I just got a cobra for 150$ and I would love to spend the extra $ to get S&W quality on one of these little monsters. Im looking for a modern day version though, no antiques.

The best quality derringers on the market right now, in my opinion, are either the Bond derringer or the American derringer. Solid, well-made, high-quality weapons.

I've had a ADC Derringer, its the lightweight model and in .380 ACP does kick. Solid built gun however. Don't shoot it anymore since I gave it to my sister.
