Does this deer make my gun look big?

Lucky the quills didn't get in the way. That barrel looks longer than 8 3/8, or it's a real small deer.

Part of it is the camera angle I think, but it is a very small deer. That picture for whatever reason seems to accentuate the size of the gun.

Thanks for the comments. I'm not exactly proud of the deer but I am happy with the accomplishment. Without a doubt my next deer will be bigger no matter what I'm using. I've eaten the tenderloins and the heart. TENNNNNDDDERRRRRR

Wow, the .44 Magnum is so powerful it can knocked the spots of a deer.

For sure that is one small deer.

Congrats on your first handgun kill. While this is a notable accomplishment, the fact that the deer got within 4 yards without spooking is a bigger feat in my book. I've hunted deer for over 30 years and what you did is a whole lot harder than most realize.
