I believe dogs are one of God's gift to man. Unfortunately my dog Patches has been staying with my daughter for about 6 weeks whilst I deal with a medical issue, I sure miss him, it was just him and me here. My, daughter's dog, Gibby had to have 5 teeth extracted yesterday and I am sure was not feeling her best. I went over for dinner this evening and they were both very excited to see me, been a while. Patches wanted attention and Gibby a belly rub, unconditional love even under trying circumstances. My dog is the white one and little Gibby the Alpha dog but best buddies, both shelter dogs and none finer to be found. Made my week and hopefully theirs also.

I've always had dogs, loved everyone of them. Most recently I rescued a male American Bulldog who had spent the first 18mo of his life in a cage, he came to me sickly, under weight with a broken spirit, he's now 128 pounds has full access to my home, goes on walks daily and has his own back yard. He has blossomed physically and personality wise. He's always at my side.

Good job on the rescue!

Notsofast we've had Dexter or BIG D as we call him for almost 5 yrs. We got him at 11mos. He spent 16-18 hrs a day in a crate. Now he has the run of our home and 5 acres to play and chase things. His daddy was American Bulldog and his mother was a Pitbull. Both blue in color. While he still has some separation anxiety he's blossomed into a pretty good boy. My wife might actually like him more than she likes me. I refer to him as her boyfriend.

Looks like he could have a good career as a Branch Manager!

Protocall that's pretty funny. He picks up 7'L 4"D fence post. He's never seen a stick he didn't want to fetch. But there's zero chance he's giving it to you. He wants you to chase him. Then he lays down and chews it into pieces

The park near my house that I go to to play disc golf has an off-leash dog park area. One of the "regulars" is a young male Golden. When they get to the park he finds his stick. It's a 2.5" dia. branch about 5' long. He carries it all through the park until it's time to go. Then he lays it down near the exit. The next time he comes, he goes and gets his stick, first thing. Same stick every time. I once moved it after he had gone and his human told me he searched for 10 minutes until he found it.
By the way, his name is Rusty!:D
