I can think of better ways to blow $60...like on, oh, more ammo?

Don't knock it if you haven't tried it. It's an excellent improvement over the OEM charging handle. :)

I've tried the original Plinker Tactical (handle was trash, ambi latch great), PT latch on an NDZ handle and now the Doomsday. I used the PT latch/NDZ combo for two years until I beta tested the Doomsday and never went back.

Can't try it....ITAR haha

So did the plinker tactical handle change because i have one with the oversized latch and it runs fine on mine, i have no problems at all with it? Just curious now i wonder exactly what it is i am missing?

They mark up these items for the 22LR market. Decent AR15 handles cost around $20. No excuse for $60.... it is not 3 times as well built.... We all need some more competition in the market place for the MP15-22 aftermarket stuff....

It would appear that the website is down at this time, at least from the UK side the world.

Have tried to contact them through the order line links on the site and get told that its interrupted/not responding...

Already have my Handle but was looking at 1 of the other products, so if anyone has contact with Eric, please let him know..... :(

Latch was fine on mine when I had it, I just didn't like the finish to the T bar (shiny not matt and hard edges on the finish) so I switched to a Tacticool22 T bar with NDZ Latch worked and still works a treat, great finish and quality, after approx 3K rounds through and still no marks on the underside of the T bar, PT Handle had a silver line all down 1 side after approx 2 mags (50 Rds).

Still I picked up my Doomsday Handle cos I could and wanted to give it a go. Am right handed so wasn't anything to do with being a Lefty but just because ....

Have to say I LIKE IT!!!! and now have the option to swap out at will with which ever I want to use.

It fits better than the PT one, has a matt finish to the bar and gloss to the "wings" works very well AND gives the option for the missus to use the gatt without messing around too much (she IS a lefty).

For me, winner winner chicken dinner!!!!! :D

Some upgrades I understand, this I just don't!!!!
It' a charging handle you grab it with your two fingers pull it back & let it go. What's to improve ?

These are somewhat similar to my Raptor, and it goes for over $80. I'd say its all about volume. It costs more per piece if you make 50 of something as opposed to thousands of the same piece. The market for 15-22 charging handles is so small, compared to AR products, that you should expect to pay a premium for good 15-22 product. As opposed to being ugly to this small set of 15-22 manufacturers, I choose to thank them & give them my business. Either pony up & pay or don't, but please don't attack these folks.

I can only speak for myself, but as someone who shoots lefty, I appreciate & use ambidextrous product on my ARs. But for me, the biggest advantage of such a handle is the enlarged handle works MUCH better when I have my 3X magnifier all the way back on the rail. I struggle to grab the smaller, stock handle with that magnifier mounted.

I happen to have plenty of ammo... and two of these charging handles. I guess there is always some better way to spend your money, depending on whom you talk to. I personally enjoy supporting this small cottage industry of guys that make specialty product for the 15-22. Without them, the gun would be a bit boring.

This is a forum. I'm giving my opinion that's all. I believe the price is unjustified and I'm voting with my wallet and I won't pay their price.

Are you that sensitive to other peoples thoughts that you use the terms 'ugly' and 'attack'? I thought freedom of speech was an American thing, and worth fighting for, or am I mistaken?

Then don't buy it.

My wife says I am a sensitive soul, so yes, I get bothered by bullies with only a few posts who try to harm a small businessman. And get off your high horse... I have gladly volunteered to serve my country to protect your rights. You went a little over the top here... didn't you? I suggest saving that pretty speech for maybe a more deserving topic.

You fought for his right to speak his mind, the bad side is people often say things you wont/dont like. I dont think he is bashing the business, he is stating his opinion and problems with the product in reality this info helps small business's poll public opinion without spending thousands on informal polls driven by some guy in a suit asking you questions at the mall.

I agree you are a little sensative. Thank you for your service so that I may share my opinions with you.

PT did some much needed adjustment to the dimensions of the handle. The first production run was so undersized, compared to the OEM, that you could rotate the handle over 30 degrees from the horizontal and the side to side slop was just as bad. Several snide emails from PT about the problem caused me to give away the handle, but I kept the latch, which was nicely designed. I went through the same nonsense with the two 30-round mags they game me in an attempt to mollify me. I gave those away, as well, because they were essentially useless.

I'm happy that later handle production runs were an improvement, but the QC on the mags seem to be problematic.

The original is polymer, the latch is flimsy, it doesn't work well for lefties ...

Why do you change anything ... Because you found something you like better.

Hey RedNeck Jim, you haven't got a monopoly on serving your country, I have too. Seems a bit daft though to fight for freedom and then fight harder to supress people speaking later on.

To make it clear I love little enterprises that make decent stuff but I also like a fair deal for an item. I don't think that makes me a bully or some sort of bad guy - even if I have only made a few posts and I'm not 'Platinum' :D

Just to calm things down I'll say sorry to you for getting you all steamed up..........
