These showed up in a local Stop ‘n Rob a few months ago. I am going through a couple of 1 lb. bags a week. Conchita loves them too.

Plenty of salt, oil, MSG, and a little bit of citric acid makes them addictive, if a little bit spendy. I have yet to find them in grocery stores, only in a couple of off-brand convenience chains.

Has anybody run across them?

are those pretzels soft or hard? it is hard to tell from the picture. I sure like the soft pretzels at Oktoberfest.

Who is Dot and what qualifies her to make pretzels?;)

I would have to see her without the hat and glasses to make a decision.:D

Pretzels are one of my favorites, will be on the look out for them. Thanks

I like the big soft kind! Used to get from street vendors up North.:D

I STILL get those real big soft ones from a place called Restaurant Depot. The only problem is that you have to buy them by the case of 50 Pretzels and my Wife always complains how much space they take up in the freezer. In the Summer I will sometimes buy a Case and give half to a friend or neighbor. The other problem I have with them is I wind up eating too many of them! :D

BTW they are BETTER when baked on a BBQ Grill. Mmmmmmmm!

Dot’s are hard, but noticeably tougher and less brittle than regular grocery store pretzels.

those things are addictive... got my first bag a gun show... then at a gas station... now the local stores carry them off and on... dangerous if I see them I get them... and lent starts tomorrow... oh my...

Thanks for the link. It was on my to-do list to visit the site, but I hadn’t got around to it.

She does look like a Nort’ Dakota girl. So far, the whole thin is plausible, but I do suspect a sinister plot to enslave us all via psychotropic drugs gradually mixed into the pretzel recipe.

Ooooh, decent sized pretzel sticks.
The possibilities... balancing act, walrus imitation, pretend you're Uncle Martin the Martian.
Not to mention great with melted chocolate or cheese or all by themselves.
Dot's on my look for list, Thanks for the tip.

Boy does this thread bring back memories!
In STL growing up there were street vendors on corners every Saturday morning selling bags of pretzels. There are no street vendors today but there is one place that still makes these.
About a foot long and the diameter of a quarter. Enough salt to melt a cold heart.
If I am in the area I always stop and buy too many.
At one time there was a place that made them in rye.

I love pretzels but prefer the sour dough type, have a great local brand in area grocery stores that are fairly inexpensive. Will keep an eye out for Dot's next time I'm on a road trip knocking about a gas station looking for a snack.

Dot’s Pretzels are available at Coburn’s grocery stores in the central part of the state. We’ve be chomping them down for a couple of years. Addictive, YAH!

Dots are the best I have ever had, and quite a bit cheaper online than in the couple of stores I have found them.
