Yesterday a family relative brought this to my attention. Dr. Suzanna Gratia Hupp (survivor of the Luby's massacre in 1991) is talking about the 2nd Amendment.

Here she is talking about the 2007 Virginia Tech shooting. I couldn't agree more and wish she would run for President.

I'm trying, unsuccessfully, to imagine the grief she must have felt when she realized she made a decision not to carry a gun that day. I hope I never have to face such a situation unarmed. One of her comments stays with me. She said I'd rather be sitting in jail as a convicted felon and have my parents alive. Who of us wouldn't give his/her life for their parents, or children, let alone go to jail? No-one I know.

Some people seem to believe they live in a magic land of unicorns, and chocolate rainbows, and sugar plum fairies. Or if they could just ban guns, that they'd all be raptured into scrap, and all the bad people would quit being bad.
