Drivers That Swing Wide To Make Simple Turns!

I see this so much and to add, taking forever to make a simple turn. I have to wonder what these people would do with a 50's car with NO power steering?? Is it just being lazy/ stupid, or both.

1) Overactive semi-circular canals?

2) There is water in the gutter they have to cross and they don't want to splash dirty water on their clean car. Yes, I heard this from the lips of an aunt of my first wife.

Welp. I wasn’t taught to swing THAT wide, but I was taught to drive in a truck with a long wheelbase and no power steering. It was advisable at low speeds to swing out just a hair in order to maintain a bit higher speed, thus keeping the big steering wheel easier to turn. Not a lane change. Maybe just a couple extra feet or so. Didn’t take much.

In this day and age with small cars and power steering everywhere? No excuse.

If there's a center turn lane, please use it. Don't slow down in the traffic lane, then enter the turn while ignoring the existence of the center turn lane. You are why the center turn lane was painted there.

Been thinking of mounting fifty calibers on all fenders. Fire control on gearshift knob. Couple of quick bursts, problem solved.
