DRT ammo?

What's the advantage of a 150 gr bullet? There must be a reason for them. Speed? The SD & practice ammo I shoot in my .40 cals is heavier - 165 - 180 gr.

I shot a couple of boxes of DRT, but in 9mm (85gr), through a Browning HP. The recoil was almost non-existant, especially when comparred to normal loadings. Accuracy was excellent, and velocity (due to weight) was substantially increased.

In my opinon, a good home defense round for situations where a round that misses its target could penetrate a wall and strike someone on the other side. Being a frangible round, it will eliminate such concerns.

the DRT 150gr Franigible bullet in a gel test entered 4-5" with several small pedals breaking up and the core went on to 11 inches.

Not my cup of tea.
