I’ve been offered a set of these grips for my round butt 3” 624. I’ve used them on j frame guns and liked them. How are they on the N frame? I know S&W offers them on a few models but none of the shops near me have the guns in stock to handle. Thanks very much.

They are very good for concealment, not so much for shooting anything magnum.

Below is my 58-29 in 44 magnum.....it is not fun to shoot with anything more than mild 44 specials. Good luck in your search.

My 627 came with them and the fit was very poor, in fact every set of Eagle Secret Service grips I’ve seen or owned looked great, but had poor fit. Others have reported the same. Make sure you can try them first.

They came on my PC 627 snub as well. Great for concealment, but as others have said, poor fitting and not great for shooting magnums. Even with the stubby 627 barrel they made it feel unbalanced and nose/top heavy. I've seen some videos of people taking them off and shooting them out of disgust if that tells you anything.

I had a pair. Too thin and can't spread the recoil out over the palm of your hand. Great for carry, not so much for shooting.

I love my J frame ones, they fit perfect and are very comfortable.

I have a 629-6 and purchased a pair of Eagle SS grips. I feel that I wasted my money because they are uncomfortable to shoot with and I have other, more comfortable grips that conceal, too.

They won't be back on this gun - and I would sell them if I could. I have shot with them only one time at the range and they came off right after.

I have a set on a 625-3 4" and 65-5 Ladysmith 3". They conceal wonderfully but I don't care for the finger groove. Wish Eagle would make them smooth in the front. They fit nicely and accomplish what I need them to do, though.

I have smaller type hands that like Hogue rubber grips for shooting. I have a UDR that came with the Secret Service stocks. They were shootable, but I wanted something better, so tried several different stocks including a special pair made by Keith Brown copied from a really old K frame set of smooth Herrett stocks I have on my 686 2 1/2".

I finally put the original Eagle's back on and called it good! For me, they shoot better than any of the other stocks. And no, they are not a perfect fit, but not so bad as to be unworkable.

Had two sets, one on an SP101 and the other set on a N frame, both sets loose fit. N frame pulverized my hand with back of gripframe and skinny grip acting like a wedge into the palm of my hand and thumb. Had to shim both sets.
