this is my best at identifying it from 9th edition Fladerman's Guide p227 . It has a low serial of 60xx and last barrel patent date of 1871 . In general very nice shooting shape with about fading 90=95% Nickle and nice grips without chips and a nice bore with nominal scattered pits in 3 1\4" barrel with short extractor lug without any caliber markings .
I'm not sure what to think of the markings . Also would hand polishing the nickle with a jewelry cloth to bring back the luster hurt the value .
Estimated market value ....

It always helps to be able to see what we are talking about...plus, it's more fun that way too..!

Shooter

Sounds like a nice shooter. The collecting circuit has changed quite a bit over the years. That volume 9 Flaydermans is now a bit dated. Great reference though. Today's collectors value " How it looks" more than original condition of yesterday's collectible circuit. If careful cleaning makes it look better? today's market sees an increase in value. Yours having the standard grips and barrel length would be in the $250-$300 price range. Unless any surface pitting is significant? Then value drops accordingly.
