A friend of mine asked me this question and I didn't know the answer. Thought I'd ask you folks.
"In Roy Jinks book on the history of S&W, he mentions that early airweight guns had a "smaller charge hole" to reduce bullet jump from increased recoil. My question is, are the chamber mouths just smaller or is the forcing cone in the cylinder moved back closer to the bullet?"
