Summer is here. This is posted for those of you looking for a cheap transport for your sailboat. I needed a dolly to transport my Sunfish from the barn down to the water. It works great and the boat is moved effortlessly by one person on level ground. If it is used on a beach, the tires will roll fine if the sand is firm.
Parts list:
a couple of 8' 2x4's
framing hardware and screws (avoid sheetrock screws, they are too weak)
3/4" threaded rod (got it at Lowe's), 4 nuts, 4 washers
cam lock cargo straps.
2 tires from Harbor Freight. Make sure hub diameter matches size of threaded rod.

Dimensions to suit your particular boat.

Set dolly under center of gravity point on your boat and cinch down straps and you are ready to go. Straps can go through drilled holes in 2x4's or just on the inside of the cross members.

Total cost under $30. Time to construct is 30 minutes.

You might think about putting a 2x6 that is V notched to fit the hull across each end. Then you won't have a curved hull sitting on a straight board.
