( Wirthwein Guns ) said that they had received an email from Ebay stating that they plan on taking all gun relates sales off their site. For those who don't know, Wirthwein is a customizer/seller of Ruger Mark series parts and supplies. Wondered if anyone else has heard anything of this ?

I was just on e-bay looking for some old parts and saw no sign of it.

So far it sounds like 2nd-hand hearsay. I'll start to take it seriously if I see it referenced on e-bay's website.

These rumors tend to get started all the time and grow like mushrooms after a warm rain on the web.

Here's a random example I just found ... from 2007

"... it would appear that ebay is going to ban gun parts and related items--there seems to be about 50000 to 60000 items listed in the hunting category on any one day with most using paypal.i suggest all sellers and buyers move away from ebay and paypal use the other availible web sites.
ebay revenue will drop and that will affect their stock price as well. it is time to stand up and get even !!!"

eBay has said before they were going to ban or limit the sale of gun parts, just as Paypal has said they will not allow transactions in gun related items to use their services. What it boils down to is money, dollars and cents, and both eBay and Paypal realize that the sale of gun related items are a huge source of revenue. They may say they are going to do something to appease the anti-gun masses, but at the same time it will be business as usual.

I remembered selling guns on eBay...[emoji23][emoji1787][emoji23]

As of about 9 months ago you can't post anything for sale labeled "AR-AR15" Has to be labeled "rifle part". Searching ebay for AR15 won't yield anything. Ruling out ebay as a gun part source is a mistake. I'm supprized at the amount of gun stuff amazon sells.

dont believe everything you read in the funny papers.....

Using the logic eBay uses, "selling gun parts will stop gun violence", I guess we will see them drop the sale of automobile parts because "selling automobile parts will stop drunk drivers."

I'm an eBay seller and I haven't heard anything but then I don't normally sell gun parts or related stuff. I looked and couldn't find any info about such a change.

I've been buying stuff on ebay for 10+ years. They don't or won't sell mags over 10 rds. If you need a single stack mag under 10 rds it's the place to look. Buy a single mag like that that from Brownells or orig manufacturer and shipping is $9-$10. Ebay is usually $0-$3 shipping and their delivery time is catching up with Amazon. Big selection of 1911 grips, fancy schmancy grip screws, and brand name gunsmithing tools.
I also have not received info about gun parts ban on ebay. There's enough problem with actual/factual bans to give any credence to rumors.
