Had this test on Oct. 25.

Received this a few days ago.

"Dr. Klein has reviewed it and is pleased with the results."

Study result:
1. Normal biventricular size and function, LVEF=55%
2. Mild mitral and aortic regurgitation.
3. Mild to moderate ascending aortic dilation.

Went to give blood this past Friday and took this info with me.
They would not let me give blood till six months have pasted.

I am bewildered since I have O- that is always in great need.

There policy I was told since I am under the care of a cardiologist who want's to see me in six month's.:(

I'm sure somebody here has had the same situation. Our in house Docs will be by soon.

Sounds like you have two mildly leaking valves, like me. At age 4 I had rheumatic fever which left me with a "murmur".
The mitral valve is the main culprit. Doc said it is not leaking badly enough to warrant surgery.
In the last 13 years echo cardiograms have kept track of everything, including several bouts of Afib, which was ultimately fixed with an ablation process, creating scar tissue in specific areas in the heart to redirect aberrant current paths.

EchoC's are a good thing.

I had rheumatic fever from three to seven. Miraculously came out of it eventually without a murmur, but now I have one. Mitral valve leakage, along with A-fib and congestive heart failure, and a couple of stents for coronary insufficiency. I'm not a candidate for surgery due to the heart stuff plus stage 3 COPD and some other lung nasties, but medication is holding it for now.

I can't complain. I'll be eighty-one in a few days, and I wasn't supposed to live to age nine. And then fourteen. Fooled them. Had an EKG at seventeen, and it was clean as a pin. Go figure.
