Hi guys,
New to the forum, and thought I'd ask a question.
I've had an SW9F for more than 10 years. Haven't shot it much until recently. I've put maybe 500-600rounds of 115gr. FMJ through it lately. Brands are mostly UMC, Winchester and PMC (crappy) Love the gun, and have learned how to shoot it fairly well. I realized at the last range session that it probably wasn't designed to eject the cases right in my face. Came home with a shirt pocket full, and one blister on my belly where the case went down my shirt.:) What should I look for first?
Thanks!

First: Does it happen with UMC, AND Winchester AND PMC, or with just one brand? If just one brand, stop using it! :D

Second: if it happens with all brands, is the gun clean and lubricated? If not clean & lube it!

Third: the extractor may have carbon or brass chips keeping it from working freely. Detail strip the slide and thoroughly clean the extractor and the slot it fits in.

Fourth: the extractor may be damaged, while you have it out examine if for chips on the edge that extracts the shell.

Fifth: The ejector may be damaged.
