Starting this topic over in a new thread to re-focus...in a previous post/thread on first model I frames (model of 1896) sources were mentioned for the knob often missing from the end of the ejector rod. Jack First, and a machinist in Arkansas.

I've now stumbled onto a first model (no forward locking lug) K frame in 32-20 that has it's knob and locking screw missing.

Question for the experts, will the knob provided by Jack First also be appropriate for the first model K frame (32-20 Hand Ejector first model)?

I was surprised only 5K or so of this first model were made in 32-20.

No, the K frame is different. But there is a source. When I get home on Monday I'll check my notes for it. Also Sam at the Arkansas location may be reproducing them in addition to the I frame knob.

In addition to Hondo44, member Mike Priwer is one of the local experts on the 1899. If the part is still available he should know of the source(s).

As noted above, the 1896 I frame knob/screw is different from the 1899 K frame knob. I do not have a contact name, but will look for the person that made replacements for early K frames.

I picked up a couple of the reproductions back when. They seemed pricey at the time, but they are well made, and I am glad to have them.
