I was on the Midway web site and see where they have a bunch of Eley 22 ammo. The problem is the stuff is selling for $70 to $219 a brick. I will go without before I will pay that price but is there any way the stuff could be worth what they ask. I know Midway does not price gouge so it must be that Eley is really proud of their stuff.

Eley is generally considered high end target ammunition. If you are looking for plinking rounds this is not for you. Kind of like drinking from crystal when a plastic tumbler will do.

I use Eley Match (one step down from Tenex) in my Remington 40X HB. It's essentially a quarter inch gun off the bench with iron sights at 50 yards. I know if a shot strays outside of the ten ring that it's my fault and not the gun or ammunition.

I've got a case that I bought years ago before the current madness so it didn't cost me anywhere what it's selling for now. Even if it did it would still be cheaper than shooting centerfire ammo

Yes, probably 85% of international shooters are using Eley Tenex. With an Anschutz rifle, you can hit 3 to 5 shots in one hole at 50 meters. There is also Eley Club which is also a grade lower.

If premium accuracy is your quest then yes, Eley (especially Tenex) is well worth it! Ask any Olympic Gold Medalist....they use it because it WINS........

Eley and Lapua manufacture some expensive premium 22 ammo. SKJagd ammo is not as pricey and does not enjoy the same reputation.

I have a few different kinds of Eley ammo (black, red, yellow/green) and so far I NOT been impressed with it's accuracy. From my CZ 453 American I can easily and consistently make a 1/4" hole dead center at 25 yards bench resting with Federal Hi Velocity #510 (blue box). With the Eley I can not get those results - not even close.
